To Kill A Mockingbird is constructed of many themes, issues and values, most of which are life lessons. These include courage, growing up and prejudice against the innocent, and are demonstrated through the use of actions, experiences and dialogue. The author, Harper Lee uses the character of Atticus and the values that he possesses, to communicate her own beliefs on the issues, to the reader.
