This magnificent film; was directed by Ridley Scott. He had wonderful costume design and scenery. The storyline of this film was incredible as well as suspenseful. Russell Crowe, who plays Maximus the Gladiator performed remarkably. His emotion and ability to act out the action scenes were simply marvelous. Maximus, a prestigious general of Rome has lead his men to victory numerous times for the great emperor Marcus Aurelius. …showed last 75 words of 369 total…Although everything about the movie was remarkable, the movie?s storyline took a lot from Braveheart with Mel Gibson. There were scenes throughout the movie that have already been done in previous movies. It just made me feel as though Gladiator was using a little too much of Braveheart?s scenes. Overall the movie was exciting and entertaining, but for constant movie watchers I think they would be unhappy with the reproduction of the storyline.
