Hjalmar Schacht and Fritz Thyssen also helped Hitler come to power. The industrialists were supporters of the Nazi Party. They wrote letters to Hindenburg asking for Hitler to become chancellor. Hindenburg had to consider their requests because they were very important to Germany's economy.
