Since September 11, much support for torture interrogation of terrorists has emerged within the public. This has suggested that the United States engages in more interrogation tactics, including the use of torture, when questioning terrorist suspects and illegal combatants. However, torture - which is defined as the infliction of severe physical pain as a means of punishment or coercion - by nature, is wrong.
