Who teaches Hal to be king? This is important because Hal is a teenager and is looking for a mentor who will teach him to be king, the person who does this is Falstaff. The two sources I used were Henry the Fourth part one by William Shakespeare, and Shakespeare the invention of the human by Harold Bloom. I believe Falstaff teaches Hal to be king. examples I used were when Falstaff was acting as king and praised himself three times, and when Hal is describing what Falstaff likes. Falstaff doesn't lie about who he his is and lives free of society. Falstaff tries to enlighten Hal in the same way. In the end Hal ignores him. Hal learned a great deal from Falstaff, Falstaff is a hero because in the play he is almost the only one who doesn't lie.
