A limitation of looking at the link between language and thought is the isolation from culture and environment e.g.: whorf wasn't there to consider all the aspect. The Inuit have a range of words for snow, but when furthered research it was only about 12 overall, they also have a variety because they grow up in an environment where they need different words for different tasks that need snow e.g.: igloo building.
