Music goes back to the beginning of time. There is evidence that dates back to 500B.C. The ancient Greeks and Romans both used music for high class entertainment. Noble would have slaves play music for them while they dined and also when guest were over.

innovations about this century was that electric synthesizers were created and many new sounds came into play. This was the only century of music that has styles for all listeners.
The next century that I see coming for music will be all digital sounds. Songs will be created by the touch of a button instead the pluck of a string. But the traditional ways of music will always be around because it cant be forgotten.
