The Russian Intelligentsia
The Russian Intelligentsia, a group of people who shared the bond of being intelligent and against the government, played the key role in overthrowing the tsarist government and instating a new government. The rebels involved in the beginning of the revolution started off with the people of Russia in mind. The evolution of the Russian Intelligentsia is a complicated, yet apparent and fascinating one. The group fought for two extremes, one in 1825 and another starting in 1905. Their outlook changed as different aspects were threatened: their quality of life, the lives of themselves and their families and the prospect of a major revolution.
