The 20's were a time of sweeping changes for America. During this
time lots of new things were introduced into American culture. This era also
was the first to have a rapidly growing middle class set on raising it's
standard of living.
Americans in the 1920's wanted to improve their standard of living.
There were many new inventions that people wanted to have to make their

made their make in this decade with new music and with their writers and
poets in the Harlem Renaissance. Writers criticized all of the new way the
common people of America lived their lives. Also mass-media thing such as
the radio, movies, and advertisements shaped how people dressed and acted.
In short this decade truly has earned the right to be called "The Roaring
Twenties".
