The first electronic digital computer was called ENIAC (Electronic Numerator Integrator Analyzer and Computer), and was invented at the University of Pennsylvania in 1946. Another thing that was a big change were the number of wires and components. Now there are no more than 10 wires for a basic computer, at the beginning of the computer era, there were over a 100 wires, and they could not nearly do as much as they can now.
