T.S. Eliot Thomas Stearns Eliot was born on September 26, 1888 in St. Louis, Missouri. Along with being a playwright, literary critic, and editor, he was an American-English poet. Eliot lived In St. Louis for the first eighteen years of his life and attended Harvard University. He left the United States in 1910 for the Sorbonne.
