Personally, I would not deem her as selfish, but I do believe that behind her conviction to make others happy is a complex network of somewhat personal benefits. No one ever gets anything from nothing, she believes vigor needs to be brought into Nelson's life and that she successfully manages. After all, there is no such thing as a free lunch.
