This report covers information that was in previous reports and also new information on Louisiana financial statements. The State of Louisiana is located on the Gulf of Mexico and is bounded by Arkansas, Texas and Mississippi. Louisiana serves a population of 4,496,000, and occupies a land area of approximately 43,562 square miles. The paper included an overview of the State, which includes the population; government structure; size of the budget and its interrelationship with the CAFR; some of the major industries; and other demographic. This paper also included some of the capital projects that the State would be involved and how these projects would be financed and paid for in the year 2004.
