I. Introduction
The Massacre of St. Bartholomew's Day was very interesting. To
better understand it one must divide it into a beginning, a middle, and an
end. In the early stages of the war when Catherine de Medici concieved the
idea, to the middle when Coligny was killed, and the end when Gregory
finally found out about it.
