The Native Americans were living a peaceful and fulfilling life living off the land until the Europeans arrived. Most of the conquest was through war but they were also able to conquer culturally. There were three main cultural conquests against the Native Americans. Each style of conquest was responded to in a different way with each containing different impacts. were just too strong and powerful for the Indians. They took their land and turned it into government property. They took their trade culture and gave them an economic society. They banished their religion and gave them Christianity or Puratism. Native Americans tried to resist the European cultural conquest but they were just too powerful. If European diseases did not kill a Native American Indian the European cultural conquest would have, with or without resistance.
