the end, Othello should see killing himself as last act of service to the senate. Calm and accepting of his responsibility in the tragedy, Othello stabs himself and falls upon the bed next to his beloved Desdemona. Here, he would kiss Desdemona before he dies. This would act as retributive justice and would have Othello die like his ideal, "I kissed thee ere I killed thee: killing myself, to die upon a kiss" (V.II).
