Most Roman roads are now paved over due to the fact that there is little Roman pavement that survives although the rest of the roads do. The roads are still being used today, although most people wouldn't recognize they were Roman because they have been paved over. If you ever go to Rome take a walk on a road, an Ancient Roman road!
