After reading "Birches" through many times the main thing I see is the comparison between the consequences of growing out of childhood and whether birches will survive through the harshness of winter. The fact that this poem was written by Robert Frost is great evidence of its American ideals. The American lifestyle and concepts of the American Dream run ram pet throughout the poem.
