Odysseus, the heroic tactition, remains dead to the world of his reality. His beloved Ithaka lies at the hands of voracious suitors who have shrouded his existance from the family he loves. Dead to his wife and son, his return is retribution as he finally enforces a physical manifestiation of his death onto those who caused his metaphorical decease.
