Since I was young languages have fascinated me, so much so that I started to learn English at the age of seven and German at the age of twelve. At school I especially chose a course which involved equal weighting in both English and German so that I could achieve a high level of competence and understanding in both languages by the end of the school.
I have also enjoyed the study of contemporary society

have completed a beginner's course in this subject but I would really like to reach to the same standard in Spanish as in my other languages.
I would appreciate both the opportunity of acquiring knowledge in the field of studying languages as well as the possibility of studying the customs and traditions of English people. The ideas obtained and projects completed during the studies could be used to analyze and compare Latvian and English cultures.
