Peer pressure plays a significant role in the events of blackrock, it is an integral part of this groups culture. It is used by several individuals during the course of the play, in order to fulfil their own needs. The adults that act as role models do not do well, most instead enforce (although often unconsciously) the sexist roles that each gender plays, which, eventually is the reason the crime was committed.
