Othello After reading the play Othello, the interpretation I developed is a mix of "feminist" - as in females being used in male dominated society and "feminist" - as in females being strong in a male dominant society. This also shows their differing opinions towards men and women. Iago uses poetic language when he is trying to manipulate someone. As well as using poetic language, Othello uses imagery in his conversations; one speech standing out is where Othello is explaining how Desdemona came to be in love with him, describing vividly his adventures.
