Nathaniel Hawthorne, one of the greatest and recognized writers of American fiction, was born on July 4, 1804 In Salem, Massachusetts, and the historic home of the Salem witch trials. He was the second child born to Nathaniel and Elizabeth Hawthorne. Nathaniel's original last name was spelled without the "w" in it, however, as he made is surprising and phenomenal dispute in the writing industry, he soon added a "w" to it.

Nathaniel Hawthorne, despite the fact that he went through so much grief in the literature industry, turned out to be a successful and recognized man or shall he be addressed as a writer. Due to a severe stroke, he died on May 19, 1864 while visiting a friend from college. He was a man of potential and inspiration who wrote and published many great books that are still being read as of today.
