Mother Teresa Mother Teresa was born on August 26, 1910. She was baptised one day after her birth, to the name Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. On the 5th of September 1997, late in the evening around 9.30, Mother Teresa died in the Mother house in Calcutta.
