Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, is a classic tragedy involving the uprising, and eventual downfall, of two seemingly evil people, Macbeth and his wife, Lady Macbeth. By showing that they have consciences about what they have done, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth prove to the audience that they are not wholly evil.
