John Donne: Love, Spirituality, and Sex
When looking up the definition of love there are too many definitions to state, but to fall in love is a whole other subject. To fall in love: to become enamored of or sexually attracted to another is the Webster's definition. In John Donne's poems this seems to be the case. In "The Flea," Donne expresses his wish to bed his beloved in a subtle way. He mixes spirituality

in spirituality, while discussing his ever desire for sex. Even though he does talk about the romance experienced, sex does seem to be his main objective. In "The Broken Heart" is the only time you see his vulnerability as opposed to the females he's lusting. As a romantic he uses just the right words, images and sound to reach hi point. Not only were these poems a story in themselves, but sweet as love poems.
