Both Baldwin and Malcolm X were intelligent, logical and eloquent. They experienced racism and social prejudice and were completely aware of it. Both Baldwin and Malcolm X knew that separation and hate would only destroy a free society in the end. Their reactions to these experiences changed there outlook and behaviors regarding racial tensions. These items changed there lives. And there lives changed a country for the better.
