If this is the case why is it not legal for gays to marry, we heterosexuals do it. I think that passing the amendment would segregate gays, in a way, because heterosexuals are, in fact, given the privilege (or "right") to marry. The whole gay union issue is more of a religious and moral issue rather than a rights issue.
