…showed last 75 words of 864 total…a raw approach to "entertaining" the audiences. The films themselves were grainy roughly edited and even though the sound was dubbed, it was generally inaccurate. They were in opposition to the glamorous, glossy, studio filmmaking. Subsequently the French New Wave critics celebrated neorealism and incorporated much of it in their own movement. Other movements in The United States, Poland, Japan, The United Kingdom and elsewhere developed many of the ideas first expressed by the neorealists.
