Italy was finally unified geographically however there were still various political problems that rocked the young nation as the regions of the country remained divided by their own traditions and independence. Nonetheless, Italians at last had their own country and it was their ideas of nationalism or the love for their country that influenced them and led them to believe that they could achieve their goals of unifying and liberating Italy.
