Inspector Goole is the character in "Inspector Calls" play written by J.B Priestley in 1945 that I will be analysing. He is a strange character, that as specific role in the play, and it is said he is Priestley "mouthpiece", this means that the inspector is the voice of Priestley during the play. But on general altough he was not very effective I think he couldn't have done better because Mr and Mrs Birling have others views of what is a community and even if they knew they didn't act well they would never admitt it like the other three did.
