The movie is entertaining and was successful, but there are many points to why people shouldn't accept what is in the movie as historically correct.

The movie "Braveheart" is an entertaining movie, but it sort of stops at that, based on half legend and half writer's improvisation. It is weird that they would take an interesting story of warriors fighting for justice and make an entirely new story when the original, real one was entertaining in itself.
