election was called by chancellor Bruning for September 1930 which resulted in the Social Democrats 143, Nazi 107, communists 77. In 1932 Hitler stood against, and nearly beat, Von Hindenburg (13M versus 19M), and the Nazi party voted the government out of office. In the following July 1932 elections the Nazis won 230 seats out of 608 and were the largest party in the Reichstag. By 30th January 1933 Hitler was Chancellor of Germany and the Nazi party were in control of the country.
