Spanish rule changed the Americas in many ways for better and for worse. Spanish rule in the Americas resulted in religious, economic, social and political changes. These changes influenced the native people greatly.

mix of people and a new social structure was created. The highest class were the peninsulares which were the Spanish, then were the creoles which were American born descendants of the Spanish. The lowest social class were the Native Americans and the African slaves.
The Spanish brought upon many more changes to the Americas and the settlers. These changes resulted in positive and negative effects, though I think it was more of a positive effect.
