3000 years ago, the Egyptians enslaved the Israelites. Moses, a simple Jewish shepherd, was instructed by God to free the Israelites. Council of Trent, established to eliminate the wrongs of the Church and defend some beliefs. Some of these concerned the Eucharist. As a result, the Church confirmed the meaning of the real presence and transubstantiation. The Second Vatican Council, commencing in the 1060's, reaffirmed furthermore the Eucharist' meaning and also put much emphasis on the Eucharist as a meal of the community. The council also made many changes to the way the mass was celebrated.
