Many people might consider Joseph McCarthy as a nuisance and menace to society by instigating the emotions of America with unnecessary prophesies of a communist takeover. However, because of ingenious rhetorical techniques used by McCarthy combining logic, ethics, and emotion, the once unknown senator from Wisconsin served as a greatly needed harbinger of doom and significantly changed the mindset of America during the advent of McCarthyism.
