The idea of the right to gun ownership is one that originated from our fear of oppression, back when we had just freed ourselves from tyranny. Nowadays, anti-gun-ownership propaganda is seen and heard everywhere in the media. Moderation is the best answer, in my opinion. If firearms are registered, and the owner is thoroughly checked for criminal records, or violent tendencies, injuries and deaths can be reduced without excessive limitation on our freedom.
