Modern Canadian literature is inseparably connected with such names as Sinclair Ross, Morley Callaghan, or Margaret Atwood. These famous writers are widely read not only in Canada, but all through the English-speaking world and their short stories have been translated into many languages. In this piece of writing I would like to analyse some of their works, or, at least, have a try at it.

Hazel is a very interesting and instructive short story.
I would like to conclude this analysis with the hope that students of English will be given more chance in the future to get acquainted with Canadian literature, because I think these authors really deserve, at least, to be mentioned. I am really happy that I have applied for this course, as otherwise, I probably, did not get the chance to read such great short stories.
