Located in one of the most active volcanic regions on earth, the Galapagos are
located on the Nazca Plate, close to its junction with the Cocos Plate.

Threats:
The Most growing threat of the Galapagos Islands is tourism.
The Islands are the perfect place for summer resorts. People are
tearing down some of the forests to put up condos and hotels.
On the good side there are new wildlife refuges in the Galapagos
Island protecting the rare and magnificent animals of the Galapagos Islands.
That is really the only Threat of the Galapagos Islands.
