for self-explanatory reasons but did not catch on as fast as the other inventions mentioned in this assignment. The main purpose of airplanes in the 1920's was its use to carry mail. The thought of having mail being delivered in a matter of days rather than weeks or even months was bewildering to Americans. In the 1920's instead of using the airplane for transportation, people used to use it for trickery purposes and stunt acts.
