As I would respect someone's personal choice to be abstinent, or to refuse to use contraceptives, I would also expect someone to respect my own choices. By providing contraception, "Unknown Catholic" would find a compromise which would indeed permit the decision to abide to catholicity by personal choice, within the human mind's autonomy.
