The author is Andrew Parsons who is a senior lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, University of York. It is a key catalyst for life - most notably it allows us to understand how our world and the living things in it are composed, and constantly creates new substances to sustain our society. Although there are blacksheeps out there who will abuse the power of chemistry for their selfish purpose and goal, it is really unavoidable since anything will definitely have its pros and cons.
