The dead man say he's been depressed all his life, and was fine; however, when he was misinterpreted by his friends, It was to much for him " it got to cold " and he felt completely dead.
The poem appears to be written about a man in a depressed state all his life. The man also take a worse turn when his friends misinterpreted his feelings, which finally killed him, where as "It was cold always".
