While the causes and effects of Global Warming are still being studied, the emission of greenhouse gases is still negatively affecting the earth. The United States does not have the most people, or the most land, but it does produce the most, and the largest quantity of hazardous gases. Joining the other 160 nations that have ratified the Kyoto Protocol, and sacrificing some of our industrial growth potential would be extremely beneficial to our one and only earth.
