My personal FlashROM, a type of memory, is 64 MB in size, and uses a type of photography to store media. However, it does not lose the data it contains without a power supply. Along this same thread, this year is supposed to herald the advent of the SSHD (solid-state hard drive), which uses an almost identical technology in much larger quantities to produce a faster, more reliable hard drive.
