Rome, an empire that had everything going for it, destroyed itself because of political corruption and a poor set up economy. Rome could have prevented its downfall by having a less aggressive foreign policy and creating more jobs from creating fewer slaves. If they spent more time exporting goods and developing a better economy they could have prevented years of poverty and anguish.
