After reading this book, I feel a genuine sympathy for the many Indian tribes that were destroyed during the nineteenth century. It is unbelievable to see how American settlers treated the Indians, how many promises were broken, and how many innocent lives were lost. I hope that in the future, we will never again have to witness the systematic genocide experienced by the American Indians.
