Though Booker T. Washington was born during slavery, he was very young when slavery ended. I don't know if he was considered a slave, amongst slaves, however the hell that he went through during this time period should not go unnoticed; a slave of society of sorts.

he set out to accomplish, however, he gave it a good head start. Until all blacks are educated and until they achieve success in their occupations and equality in society that goal will never be reached. All people should assist in reaching this goal. It's the humane thing to do. We are all people, no matter our skin color. We must stamp out racism and thoroughly punish racists in an attempt to change their behavior!
