The author kept in me suspense throughout the whole book - I couldn't understand why the Eloi were so afraid of the dark and who those white ape-like creatures were. It was a very unpredictable plot and I didn't know what to expect next. "The Time Machine" was a very interesting book to read and very enjoyable.
