Dropping the atom bomb Japan was amoral, nonsensical, and unnecessary. The decision to drop the atomic bomb was one which was rushed, and therefore, not fully analyzed to understand the repercussions that it would have. Russians that they had a powerful weapon, the United States was also afraid that if Russia became too involved in the war, they would be entitled to some land in Japan. This would be a problem for the United States later because a communist Russia controlling large amounts of land in Eastern Europe, and also part of Japan, could lead to the same problem that started World War II; a communist quest for world domination.
